Scheduled Power Shutdown Notice Friday, June 26th 2026 | Davis A-Wing Energy Centre
Sheridan is investing in multiple projects to improve campus services by upgrading its facilities and infrastructure in support of a more resilient and accessible physical environment.
As part of this plan, Sheridan’s Space Management, Design & Construction team (SMDC) will be upgrading and enhancing the combined heat and power (CHP) equipment within the A-wing Energy Centre at the Davis Campus. This work is planned to begin June 26, 2026 at 11:00pm, and will continue through June 27, 2026 with completion before 7:00am as part of the final steps in providing alternative power generation on campus.
Upcoming work is summarized below.
Construction Scope, Timeline and Location:
- Strategic planning to shut down the CHPs in the A-wing Energy Centre to upload new programming that’ll provide increased power generation opportunities for the College in the long-term.
- The work is being scheduled during the reading week and after hours to minimize disruptions to the College community, which will involve power disruptions to the B-wing and A-wing at the Davis Campus on the normal power side in the overnight hours. Emergency Services will remain online.
- The work is planned within a mechanical room. All public spaces for the community will remain open.
These projects aim to upgrade existing infrastructure vital to sustainable initiative operations and to ensure continued longevity and reliability of our institution’s services.
