Davis – Lower Cooling Capacity
June 1, 2022
Dear Sheridan Community,
Facilities has been undertaking major infrastructure upgrades to the cooling system at our Davis Campus as part of continued efforts to improve services. With construction activities currently underway, we have been operating under lower cooling capacity. Considering the recent heat wave which has been notably above seasonal temperatures, we are experiencing demands that have exceeded our temporary cooling measures. With the return of seasonal outdoor temperatures beginning tomorrow, and forecasted for the next week and half, we anticipate we will be able to improve cooling capacities to our buildings at Davis Campus. We are working diligently with our partners to provide additional temporary cooling measures and to expedite efforts to get the new permanent cooling system operational for the immediate future.
Please note that if you are unable to manage in your current space due to the heat, kindly consider moving your activity to the Awing building if possible as we have been able to maintain appropriate temperature in this building. We apologize for the inconvenience.
